Pet Water Cremation—Aquamation
A natural, gentle farewell rooted in dignity and ecology.
Aquamation—also called water cremation or alkaline hydrolysis—is a respectful, environmentally friendly alternative to flame cremation.
This gentle process uses warm water and natural alkali to return your pet’s body to its organic elements, leaving only bone ash (cremains) to be returned to your family or scattered.
Whether your pet is received individually or communally, this sacred water journey is guided by respect and intention.
-
We treat every pet in our care with the deepest reverence. Each is adorned with fresh petals and honored with a poem to begin the process.
Thereafter, their remains are gently reduced over several hours in a warm, alkaline bath.
After the cycle is complete, bone ash is collected by hand, dried over 2–3 days in a dedicated dehumidifying space, and placed in a sealed bag inside a hand-wrapped urn.For individual aquamations, a custom metal ID tag accompanies your pet throughout the entire process to ensure proper identification at every stage. You will receive their ashes (cremains), flower petals, and ID tag upon return.
For communal aquamations, ashes are respectfully scattered in local community gardens, enriching the earth and honoring the natural cycle.
